Mitchell welcomes progress on Greystones harbour

The clubhouses for the Sea Scouts, Sailors, Divers, Anglers and Rowers are nearly complete and will be handed over to the clubs for final finishing in early December. I also notice that long hours, including weekend work, are being worked on the large public square. I anticipate that this will be open before next Summer.

Agreement has recently been reached between Sisk, who have built the harbour, and Targeted Investment Opportunities which allows the buildings to be developed. Preliminary works have started on 60 houses, north of the existing Sailing Club, and they are likely to be on sale next Summer. This progress is welcome and I am sure the area will be tidied up when the houses are being sold.
