Delgany Development Refused permission

Wicklow County Council has refused permission for 99 houses and apartments on land zoned for 12 homes at Stylebawn in Delgany Valley. It was refused because of too many houses, too much destruction of trees and site alteration, the increased risk of flooding of the Three Trout Stream, poor apartment design and not adequate protection of Stylebawn House which is a Protected Structure.

I objected to this for the above reasons and am glad it has been refused. I would like the developer to apply for a much lesser development in keeping with the sylvan setting but I suspect he may appeal this refusal to look for more houses.
