Bord Pleanala has approved the plans & Compulsory Purchase Order for this project. This includes a foot & cycle path on each side of the road which is being straightened. This busy road joins 5 schools and is dangerous to cycle along with poor paths.  About 10 smallish plots of land, mostly ends of gardens, are needed hence the need for the CPO

I have been pressing for this for years as it should encourage cycling & walking to school cutting down car traffic. I have now asked for a timetable for the tendering and work and hope it will be completed within 2 years.
