The introduction of the new ’10 minute’ DART service has been delayed by the drivers. ‘However when implemented it will increase the journey time, DARTs and diesels, to Wicklow South of Bray by 12% and will not provide a single extra train service. No proper explanation for the increased time has been given by Irish Rail even though the service is already very slow’ complained Cllr Derek Mitchell. This is according to the Draft consultation timetable issued in December and later discussions with Irish Rail. No final timetable has been issued even though it was due to start after Easter.
