Council finally agrees to try to get funding for the Delgany to Blacklion Road

 

At Mondays meeting of Wicklow County Council officials said they had discussed this with the National Transport Authority who may fund footpaths and cyclepaths to St. Laurence’s and this could lead to a design for the whole route. ‘This is the third meeting which I have raised this and at last we have a degree of progress’.

This road has been planned for 30 years and very little has happened. There are 4 large schools on this road now and there will be complete traffic chaos unless it is built with cyclelanes. This change by the management is the first positive step to getting something done.
