The Council has mostly completed collecting the litter manually and with the suction sweeper truck and also weedkilling on most of the N11 which has cost €20,000 so far. Collected items include 20 bags of soiled nappies and 300 refuse sacks of general litter, a considerable quantity of which was on the central reservation where it is difficult to collect. Mostly it must have been flung from cars.
