Greystones Main Street in bits

The road maintenance budget cuts for 2011 was discussed at Mondays Council meeting. The Government has seriously cut road maintenance grants when the roads have suffered badly in the snow. Greystones main street, Church Road, is in bits with disintegrating speed bumps and large potholes. These are especially bad at the edges which makes it difficult to cycle. We need to encourage cycling to get people out of cars.

I asked that a budget is found to repair what is the main street of the second largest town in the county.
