Mitchell urges YES vote to abolish Senate.

I strongly urge everyone to vote to abolish the Senate on the 4th October.

We need to cut out many sections of bureaucracy to make the country work better and abolishing a high up institution such as the Senate sets an example to other bodies. As a small country we don’t need a second chamber.

Second chambers have a use in larger countries which are geographically diverse but most small European countries, including the successful Scandinavians, do not have a second chamber.
