The Council is applying for planning permission on sites at Lott Lane, Kilcoole & by Three Trout Stream, Greystones to build 150 and 160 houses respectively. This is to be split approximately 65 Social, 55 Affordable and 200 private ones in order to provide a good social mix. ‘I especially welcome providing Affordable houses as this has not been done in Wicklow for some years’ Planning submissions should be sent to the Council by the 2nd April by 12.00 pm.
The Greystones houses will be well back from the Stream to allow for a path to be put in at some stage along the stream. The sites are complex to develop and it will be some time before prices or details of the Affordable houses are available.
